About Us

We know that a well-resourced, co-ordinated and effective provider sector is essential to deliver the skills challenges across the Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SSLEP) area to meet the current gaps in skills and to address the future needs of employers. Staffordshire Partnership for Employment and Skills (SPES) is a provider network that supports our members to navigate the education and skills arena to enable them to fulfil these needs.

We are proud that we can count 3 Universities, 5 colleges, over 30 Independent training Providers (ITP’s) and Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce as members of one of the most diverse education and skills networks in the UK.

The Vision for Staffordshire Partnership for Employment and Skills (SPES) is:

A single partnership organisation that fully articulates and represents the interests of employment and skills partners in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

SPES will be a powerful single, skills delivery partnership and strong voice in Stoke and Staffordshire and will work closely with the SSLEP to respond to strategic skills requirements in the City and County.

Membership of Staffordshire Partnership for Employment and Skills is open to all employment and skills delivery partners and associated organisations in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.
